Monitor Ethernet Transferred NC Files through DNC-Max
Wednesday, October 29, 2008
DNC-Max Server comes with proven "Network Monitor" capability. This means not only is DNC-Max a universally proven RS232 application, it is also an ethernet application. It will cater for ALL RS232 and Ethernet CNC machines configured through one DNC-Max Server application.
The “Network Monitor” can be used in conjunction with Cimco FTP / NSF Server Software or any other standard network solution to monitor various modern CNC machine tools such as Mazak, Heidenhain, Fanuc, Hurco, Siemens, etc with a standard ethernet network connection.
It works in the same way as RS232 allowing the CNC machine tool to access Nc files on the shared folders on the Server and transferring them across in seconds rather then minutes. The DNC-Max synchronizes directories dependent on those folders selected and scans the Pc and CNC control for any updates. It will then monitor any transfers over the network and log this information.
The “Network Monitor” has configurable access control on the folder list and will create Nc file backups automatically.
