DNC-Max gives you full control over program transfers from one central application and provides full compatibility with your existing machines and files.

Leading DNC solution

For over a decade CIMCO DNC-Max has been the leading DNC solution by which all others must be compared. From its best-in-class client/server architecture to its unmatched configurability and scalability. DNC-Max meets the requirement of both small shops and corporate enterprises with thousands of machines in multiple remote facilities.

Benefits

Network CNCs, PLCs & Robots

Connect all your manufacturing equipment in one network using industry standard hardware, including Ethernet and Wireless serial device servers, traditional card based hardware, and existing legacy hardware.

Works with your files

Whether you set up your first DNC system or you replace an existing, the DNC application you choose must be compatible with your data. DNC-Max eliminates the need to update all your existing NC programs.

Access programs immediately

With DNC-Max there is no waiting. All your machines can download programs at the same time.

Download programs remotely

Reduce downtime from walking programs out to the shopfloor. Initiate downloads of part programs directly from the machine's CNC control, from any modern mobile device or using a Barcode reader.

Ease of use and administration

File transfers, port monitoring and system administration are all performed in a clean, intuitive client/server interface which is part of the system's intelligent, solution driven design.

A scalable solution

DNC-Max scales with your company. Upgrade with integrated manufacturing file management (CIMCO NC-Base/MDM) and manufacturing data collection & machine monitoring (CIMCO MDC-Max).

Features

Ports, status and organisation

Ports are used to define machine connections and shows the current port and machine status. Organise ports in groups for optimal overview.

Network protocols

Supports both standard and specialised network protocols to communicate with most manufacturing equipment. Mazak, Deckel, Agie, Fagor, Brother, Modbus, and many more.

Send, receive and dripfeed

The Send Queue ensures that files are transferred sequentially. Advanced options available for unlimited filesise dripfeeding if supported by CNC.

Remote request

Request programs directly from the CNC control or mobile device. Supports DNC restart and file looping, directory support, directory prioritisation, filters, wildcards, and more.

Versioning

Programs that are modified on the CNC control (or elsewhere) can be raised in version and stored in a quarantine area for review. Easily track changes and revert to previous versions.

User access control

Control the level of access for users on both the DNC-Max Server and Clients. Limit configuration and control options to key personnel.

Logging and notifications

Real-time logging of DNC system and machine activity. Send status reports and notifications directly to CNC operators and key personnel.

CNC and hardware compatibility

Works with industry standard RS-232 serial hardware, Ethernet and Wireless serial device servers, traditional card based hardware, and existing legacy hardware.

Integration with CIMCO Edit

In addition to the stand-alone PC and Web Client, DNC-Max is also available as an add-on for CIMCO Edit providing a seamlessly integrated application interface.

CIMCO DNC-Max Web Client

The DNC-Max Web Client is a modern, browser-based application that works on mobile, tablet, desktop and TV. Supports local/remote file transfers, file preview and port organisation.

The DNC-Max Web Client is built from the ground up using state-of-the-art web technologies that provide a fast and responsive user experience with zero need for refreshing the browser. The client features a consistent look and feel that works across devices such as desktop, smartphone, tablet and TV. For optimal viewing or personal preference, the client supports both a bright and a dark theme which can be easily toggled directly in the client.

Portlist

To achieve maximum screen space, which is critical on small devices, the client does not have any visible options. Instead, it presents a clean overview of groups, ports, and relevant information about each port such as its current status and active file transfers. The overview of ports can be used as digital signage and supports both full screen and the ability to hide the general top menu. Visibility and re-ordering of groups and ports can be configured directly in the client using drag-and-drop.

Adaptive menus

To perform an operation on a port, simply click (or touch) the port to select it and a menu appears on the right side of that port. The options in the menu adapts depending on the status of the port, so only relevant options are available. Also, only the most common options are directly available while less frequently used options can be accessed by clicking the […] option. This ensures a very clean interface, which is easy to understand and less prone to human error and wrong-clicking.

Operations such as Send, Receive, Log and Queue display an operation dialog with additional information. Operation dialogs always show the current port and status at the top where it can be seen at a glance. Clicking (or touching) the port in operation dialogs also reveals the port menu and allows you to quickly jump from one dialog to another, such as from the Queue to the Log.
